︎ Listen on Soundcloud
Stolen Lands is Stephanie “Soultree” Camba(nationofthangs)’s coming out story from 2010 expressing her view of the complexities of immigration and her experience of this unfair, broken system. Stephanie has been painstakingly performing this spoken word piece and finding new meanings each time especially in her reflection of what it means to her and her family. This is the official release of “Stolen Lands” as a completed musical production. Produced by Kari the Illustrator and Engineered by Substance.

NCDP mourns the loss of one of our research staff, 26-year old Cinthya Felix, who was tragically killed in an auto accident on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Cinthya was a passionate advocate for immigrant rights and human rights, an enthusiastic public health researcher, and an equally committed friend and colleague. Cinthya worked tirelessly on one of our central projects, Elusive Communities, which explored the ways that immigrant Mexican communities across the country responded to the novel H1N1 virus. This project allowed Cinthya to merge her passions. The video show-cased on our website is a clip from the documentary, Elusive Pandemic, produced by HITN. We thank our friends at HITN for their permission to show this — it serves as a reminder of Cinthya’s commitment and her enthusiasm. It also reminds us how much we will miss her.
